Harold Goldman is a Partner of the Firm. He received a B.A. degree from Rutgers University, a J.D. degree from The American University, Washington College of Law and an L.L.M. degree from New York University School of Law. Mr. Goldman concentrates his practice in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Matrimonial and Family, Commercial Real Estate, Residential Real Estate and Appellate Division practice. Mr. Goldman has represented real estate developers in every general aspect of land development and has been a principal in his own residential real estate development companies since 1977. His companies have subdivided, purchased, improved and constructed a substantial number of single family homes and large condominium projects.

Significant Appellate Decisions:

State v. Szima, 70 N.J. 196 (1976) cert. den. 429 U.S. 259-established guidelines for Sixth Amendment speedy trial rights of accused in New Jersey

Kutzin v. Pirnie, 124 N.J. 500 (1991) - reversed the several centuries old law in New Jersey which held that a contract purchaser of real estate who breached a contract to purchase automatically forfeited the contract deposit to Seller, whether or not the Seller had suffered damages up to the amount of the deposit.

O'Keefe v. Passaic Valley Water Commission, 132 N.J. 234 (1993)-opinion addressed the guidelines for pre-employment drug testing in New Jersey.

Clifton, et al v. Passaic Valley Water Commission, 115 N.J. 126 (1989)-established restrictions on disbursement of profits to municipalities which own and operate their own water purveying systems.

Techniscan v. Passaic Valley Water Commission, 113 N.J. 233 (1988)-established several early parameters concerning public's access to computer stored information under the common law and statutory right to know laws.

Bumbaco v. PERS, 325 N.J.Super. 90 (App. Div. 1999), cert. denied 163 N.J. 75 (1999)-expanded the theory upon which a retired public employee can receive benefits afforded under pension related provisions.

State v. Flint, 126 N.J.Super., 182 (AD 1973), 64 N.J. 313 (1974) - obtained reversal of criminal conviction
