Phyllis Barker is an experienced civil litigator and member of the firm's Commercial Litigation Department. She received her B.A. in English from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated summa cum laude, and her J.D. from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where she was a Pedrick Scholar, received the Graduate Academic Scholarship Award, and was elected and served as Secretary of the Student Bar Association. After law school, Ms. Barker began her career in California, where she served as the Senior Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Oliver W. Wanger, Judge, United States District Court, Central District of California, and taught Legal Analysis and Writing as an Adjunct Professor at San Joaquin College of Law. Ms. Barker is licensed to practice law in California and New Jersey and concentrates her practice in complex commercial/business litigation, including contract, stock purchase, real estate, construction, municipal/public entity, labor, employment and civil rights matters.
