ANSELL GRIMM & AARON, P.C. offers a strong and highly specialized Criminal Defense Department headed by partners Mitchell J. Ansell and Brian E. Ansell. Each partner routinely appears in criminal courts throughout the State and has established strong working relationships with representatives of County Prosecutor Offices and other law enforcement agencies. Such relationships are often important in achieving optimum results for our clients.

Partner Brian E. Ansell served as Law Secretary to Monmouth County Assignment Judge Lawrence Lawson while Judge Lawson sat as the Presiding Judge for the Monmouth County Criminal Court system. Partner Mitchell J. Ansell's recent trial success include three high profile criminal matters. One case, tried in February 2001, involved a Pop Warner football coach charged with assault against a parent in Monmouth County which had extensive local and national print media coverage. Our client was found not guilty of all charges. Another involved a teenager wrongfully accused of sexual assault which also resulted in an acquittal. The third case involved a police officer wrongfully accused of assault. Our client was once again completely exonerated of all charges.

Though the cases handled by our firm sometimes generate publicity, we are highly sensitive to our clients' need to avoid unwanted publicity if at all possible.

The Criminal Defense Department prides itself on accessibility which is often needed in this area of law. Messrs. Ansell are available twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days a week, to serve clients' needs in the event of emergencies.
