The Firm prides itself on tracking trends in the mortgage banking arena over the past 20 years and has developed marketing strategies currently used by our clients. The Firm is approved by all major investors. Currently, the attorneys of the Department participate in over 1000 transactions each year related to the business of mortgage banking. The members of the Firm have perfected the use of the closing experience as a marketing opportunity for the Lender/Broker. Our attorneys and experienced staff are trained in the client's marketing philosophy as well as maintaining their competency in the law. We focus on educating and training our clients to safely navigate the difficult procedural and regulatory waters when entering the New York or New Jersey residential mortgage market. The Chairman of the Department is Kevin T. Corcoran, who possesses a unique understanding of the business of mortgage banking and mortgage brokering. Mr. Corcoran spent 3 years as in-house General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer for a mortgage banking/servicing operation in the late 1980's. Mr. Corcoran has taught "Mortgage Basics" for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education of the New Jersey State Bar Association and teaches "The Business of Mortgage Banking" at the licensing class for the Mortgage Bankers Association of New Jersey.
